An Urgent Appeal: Give us a helping
hand and help save flood victims in Bangladesh.
Dear,
Do your part and make a difference. HRCBM workers are already in
the field to distribute relief materials to flood victims. Our
help is directly going to the victims who need them now by
cutting the layer of bureaucracy. See our Flood Relief 2004
(Phase I) in picture:

About 41 percent of Bangladesh is under
water and the situation may surpass 1988 records. The aftermath
of the flood could be much more devastating as well. Cholera and
other form of waterborne diseases are spreading through out and
it will get worse unless preventive actions are taken. With
poverty and devastation of flood at one end and the disease on
the other, the poor millions are struggling to survive.
There is no sign of relief, rivers are
swelling up and the rainy weather continues to pour in. Hence,
we, on behalf of HRCBM are fervently appealing to you make a
contribution to HRCBM and save the helpless victims of this
catastrophic flood in Bangladesh. The donations will be used
to purchase water purifier tablets, saline, other emergency
medical supplies, clothes and dried food to help the flood
victims irrespective of their cast, creed and ethnicity. HRCBM
showed it’s commitment to the humanity in the past (Cold
Relief 2003 in Bangladesh at http://www.hrcbm.org/NEWLOOK/relief_winter.html)
and we would like to do the same in the future.
We would greatly appreciate your help and
joining us in this relief effort to save the humanity. HRCBM is
committed distribute the help materials directly to the doorstep
of the victims who need them most.
