Attacked, Murthi (Deities) demolished at Thakurgaon District-Bangladesh. “Ajker Kagoj” 7 Sept-05

Some miscreants attacked “ Nakati Durga Mandir” and destroyed and desecrated some Murthi (Deities) of Puja Mandap of Hindu Community at Pirganj Upazilla within the District of Thakurgaon on Monday last. Uma Charan Roy- President of Puja Committee filed a complaint at Pirganj police station. It is reported that some miscreants occupied the Mandir Properties and illegally constructed houses on it. Since general diary has been lodged in the police station by the devotee, the miscreants attacked Nakati Durga Mandir and destroyed the Murthi (Deities) on the Monday last. Consequently the Hindu communities of this area are in great risk and danger.
